I like the look of the XT, wish they'd squeeze a bit more power out of these things though Confused

No idea about training stateside, the MSF looks like our CBT course, which's a pretty basic level.

He will likely be on the XT250. He sat on the Harley and immediately burned his leg on the exhaust. I laughed after he said he was okay. I feel bad, but his facial expression of smiling to frowning was pretty funny. He likes the Harley more, but I am like......yeah.....we all start somewhere: generally somewhere a little more used.

I thought and assumed that you were a sock, but after a quick look, it would appear that you are actually another human being, so apologies for my odd line of enquiry and say welcome to the forum Smile Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

I seem to recall the CBT being a one day course when my ex took it, the basic MSF that I took a couple of years back was two days, no on-road stuff, mix of classroom and practical. I was quite impressed at the level of coaching (ymmv) and the amount of stuff covered, there were four of us on the course so stuff moved along fairly quickly.
Florida has no State test for a motorcycle endorsement on a driving license and require an MSF to be taken regardless of previous experience before issuing the endorsement. As a bonus it gets me a 'safe driver' status which helps lower my extortionate insurance on the truck.

OP - Tennessee means you'll be gunning for the Dragon's Tail right? I drove it a couple of years back with the M.I.L. on board, so no silly cornering in the Accord!!

Assuming not a sock, it'll be a good bike to start out on.
