I just did something really stupid, I went to give my bike an oil top up and I grabbed the wrong oil, fork oil!!!

I didn't put much in, maybe 50ml before I realised what I what was doing and swore very loudly. How bad is this, can I just drain the oil and all will be ok or is this really bad?

Won't do any harm even if you ran it like that. Even old engine oil is nothing like new engine oil when you drain it. People run bikes on oil with water or petrol contamination, or several times past it's service life.

Change the oil if you're worried. No harm will be done.

What effect will it have on the bike? Fork oil.

Thankfully, all of these fork puns are compressed into one easy to track and reach thread, or else it might get clamped down on by the moderators with suspensions handed out.
