Of course it could only happen in Huyton (or Birmingham, or London, but you know...).

Quote:
James Meadows, 17, came off the motorcycle after being shot at Lyme Cross Road, Huyton, at about 21:40 BST on Sunday.
Merseyside Police said the bike's rider had failed to stop and had left the scene "at speed".

Gang related shooting? If so, good.

Sounds like they were surprised that the rider didn't hang about with his dead mate. Rolling Eyes

Was the said pillion wearing a helmet?

To be fair to the rider - if someone had just shot your friend dead, hanging around probably isn't a great idea!

It doesn't really tell you much, but it's expected.

Some years ago around here a car of scallies were doing what scallies do, at some speed, when they ploughed into the car of a young woman. She died in the collision, as did some of the occupants of the car. Because the scrotes were very popular in Scrotedom, there were buckets of mis-spelt tributes and flowers at the scene. A scally girl I worked with at the time told me how she felt terrible because, although she knew the scrotes involved, there were none visible for the girl they'd killed on their joyride wiv de angels.

As for the post above, it's the current_year, not the world of nostalgia, and it's only going to get worse.

Nah it was a car backfiring, as witnesses say in every sodding interview, even though no car has backfired since 1976 (fact).

I was down that area about 2 hours beforehand and there was some scrote tearing around on a scrambler with no lid. Didn't have a pillion though. Tbf, it's unusual not to see that around there.

The "lovely lad" who was shot is/was fairly well known and certainly won't be missed by anyone with the smallest amount of decency.

I look forward to his funeral, when the local police farce sit in their cars doing fk all, while the local scum circle around them laughing on stolen bikes again.

This is from my neck of the woods and the woman arrested lives about 1/4 mile away, often walk the dog past there.

The lad has become the best lad in the world, so loved by so many, usual scouse reaction.

No one has talked about him not wearing a lid or not, no one has come forward about the bike rider, that would be grassing apparently. people will know all the details but none of the shits will come forward, unless you have parked your car in the wrong place then they are all over it like a rash.

I have to take exeption to that, hardly restricted to Liverpool is it.

This, I suspect is in part down to a mixture of the decent folk around the area living in fear of being targeted themselves, the police have not exactly endeared themselves to people over the past number of decades and the scum being what they are.

Imo the police need to take a more proactive approach. We all know the areas where these low life hang/ride around, it can be seen on a daily basis. Our Police farce seem too happy to sit in unmarked cars around Edge Lane where the roadworks are to fine folk for performing illegal U turns. Why can't they use a similar method and go and hit these scum hard?

Too much paperwork.

Similar to the Bristol Bike Taker thing - couple of discreetly tracked bait bikes and bingo, but they can't be bothered. Even then, the scrotes are advertising their whereabouts often enough that patterns emerge - wouldn't be impossible to stick some unmarked out on a few choice nights. They just don't want to waste resource on a problem that isn't their priority.

It was only remarkable because the level of gunfire was low that weekend.

I can't wait for the day that I'm watching Sky news and some old woman from an (as yet) unidentified council estate belts out

(I feel it prudent to point out that this isn't related to this situation here)
