Apologies and thanks to Marjay 'cos I posted that link he found on Bikersweb. And Bugger! I just bought an obsolete Sprint ST! I think the new bike looks great and I better get a good deal next year when I trade in again!

Gorgeous GP-esque exhaust (if you squint a bit), gorgeous single sided swinger, and it's British!! Looks like it might pinch a few sports bike sales!

what they need are plenty of sales over here then they will survive a lot of their business comes from oversea sales high interest rates and the strong pound are hurting them

Seems like Triumph is just screaming for attention with the ST. Can't say I dislike it entirely, though. Thinking

Hmm, it looks too "concept" for my liking, and it's almost trying too hard. The sharp, angular is sooo last year. Razz

Isn't the ST supposed to be a tourer? In that case, it's almost having an identity crisis then - wouldn't underseat storage be more practical than underseat pipes? Unless it's marketed as an arse-warmer for those cold winter nights... Wink Laughing

Still, not a bad looking bike IMO.

Hmm, IMVHO obviously. How much like a VFR are they trying to make it? Ok the front lights are different but, single sided swing arm, under seat exhausts (ok a different take on it but still) and even those wheels are the same.

Imitation the greatest form of flattery?

Bit late now the Honda is struggling to stay at the top of the group.

Hmmmm. Let's see.
VFR - 4 nuts. ST - 1.
VFR - curved spokes. St - straight spokes.

Oh, sorry Confused Rolling Eyes, you meant they're both circular and covered in rubber Confused Wink Laughing

Triumph have never made it a secret that they entered this market sector to take sales from the VFR. The ST has always been very similar in some ways to the VFR. But the Japanese manufacturers take styling tips from each other anyway. And how many cruisers from Japan look disimilar to Harleys or Indians?

Don't get me wrong I've nothing against Triumph, it would just be nice to see them do something different than take on the VFR with a VFR look-a-likie.

At least the old Sprint ST looked different, individually Triumph.

I think it looks quite nice, unique anyway, not sure on the moulding of the exhaust and rear seat unit, looks a little strange.

I don't consider it a copy of the VFR800, if you look at the ZX-636 it was an obvious move away from the old ZX-6R styling to that of the R1/R6.

The exhaust doesn't look very nice, is it just a dodgy picture because it looks the same colour as the bike? would be nicer chrome Thumbs Up

Other than that I really really like it Smile
