Today I finally managed to get a couple of hours messing around with the dirt bike and decided to have a go at getting it working off the starter. It seems someone has been messing around with it previously and forgot to put all the parts back:

The starter was pulled from the hole on the top right, but there's no gear to connect it to the engine..... so, what wires would I need to connect from where to where if I just wanted to rely on the kickstart for starting and the kill switch for stopping it?

This is the current mess of wires:

The wiring looks a mess.

I would start again and wire it for keyless setup

There are few different types of CDI, 4,5 and 6 wires which is determined by how your stator is wound

What bike and year is it? Can you find a wiring diagram?

If you opt to rewire, make sure you get a cdi for a 4 stroke. The ignition advance curves are different

It's a Skyteam St150, which I can find pictures of the bike, but not a lot else.

As for the year, I have no idea, I've checked the chassis number and there is either no record of it, it's a 2006 or 2031 model Confused

So if you want to press on with it, think your going to have to pull the flywheel, look at the connections, figure out, what's what

I think you are going to struggle tbh, getting parts etc for it, so might be worth considering it a lost cause
