Looks like we somehow mislaid a hurricane and it might be headed your way. Ooops, sorry.

For first timers, here's a helplist... Laughing

Seems rather sad that guns score more highly than sex...

Maybe that's the problem over there...

2% mention a first aid kit Rolling Eyes .
Who here is prepared for any form of natural disaster?

Sort of? :I do have a first aid kit in the house and we always seem to have some bottled water in the house + we have tinned food like everybody does.
Sadly no guns and ammo Laughing

When they say "party supplies" I'm guessing they don't mean Iced Rings, cheese and pineapple on toothpicks and sausage rolls (personally, I'd never want to run out of sausage rolls)

What is it with people buying windchimes when living cheek by jowl.

Horrid clanking clonking things....So during the last storm I used the opportunity to stab it to death using my clothes line prop.

It WAS suspended from one of those hanging basket brackets...and I did try to unhook it but I kept setting off the security light and had to scuttle off into the shadows.
Frustrated, I lunged at it and did repeatedly stab it to death.

That was the 2nd time I'd killed a windchime.

Beer, vodka, rum, bourbon and Doritos would be a fairly comprehensive shopping list for 'party supplies'.

No gun here but I do have a 20" chainsaw for clearing the yard/lane post- hurricane. As for first aid kits, the average American bathroom usually has enough pharmaceuticals to support a small town, duct tape serves well for binding body parts up if they leak/break... Laughing

Edit: No trips for bottled water for us, I could always rig the well pump up to the generator if necessary and a septic tank system means we don't have to worry about shoddy county services failing.

If you had neighbours that looked like mine you'd probably want a gun in case they decided to make you their hurricane sex-buddy, let's just say that they won't be winning any beauty pageant...

Yeah I can't think of any neighbours I particularly want to shag, either. Puke

I have an air rifle round here somewhere. I never did get round to finding any ammo for it.

I keep bottles of water in my car but they're only little ones, for passengers; I discovered that if you buy passengers 500ml water bottles, they don't drink it all and tend to leave it behind in the car (Which is gross. Who is gonna drink it after them?) - So I reduced the size to 330ml instead, so in a post-hurricane apocalypse (?) those ain't gonna last very long. Plus the car is at least three doors away, how am I gonna crawl past the zombies* to get to my water? Shocked

*I'm assuming there will be zombies? There's always zombies.

I'm sure one of the gun-crew have a spare set of ear defenders they can lend you.

22 degrees in the middle of October - you can lose a few more if you want mate, seems Northern Ireland acts as a nice little buffer.

22 would make a nice change, I'm looking at yet another day working outside at 32C, that's more than 130 days this year at 32 and over. Thanks global warming. Sad

Aye, quite a red sun (when you can see it). Pretty sure there's either going to be locusts, or a portal to hell opening. Probably the latter, seeing as I'm in Wellingborough.
