Looking for some suggestions as I've just moved out to the area and it's a beautiful, sunny day! I want to go out!

Your favourite routes or destinations, please!

It's a nice ride down to the motorcycle mega store in Elgin, Swindon, if you're starting in the Cotswolds and go past the Cotswold Wildlife Park and through Letchlade.

Where are you starting from?

Sorry, just realized how much later this reply is to your post, and the fact I'll be back working again in a sec so won't reply anyway.

Maybe I can help for the next sunny day though, say 2019?

Unsurprisingly, I'm still at the university doing university things, and not on my bike.

Will be on the bike.. hopefully.. Within an hour.

I'll be setting out from Cheltenham.

Agreed.

On Sunday I had a nice ride from Bristol over to Dursley, Stroud, Tetbury via Westonbirt, then back down to the M4.

I enjoy a run out to the Cotswolds airport. Nice place for a mid ride stop anyway as there are toilets and a cafe/bar there.
There and back for me is about 80 miles round trip. Took Mrs grr last time I went. Thumbs Up

Having a look inside the Bristol Britannia parked up there is also definitely worth it.

Head down to Cirencester via North Cerney, then to Stroud via Minchinhampton, then back to Cheltenham via Painswick. If you get lost, then all the better.

Stop at the Jolly Nice or The Glider on the A419 for a tea break. Smile

There are so many places .., and if you're feeling adventurous, after stopping for a cuppa at Cotswold Airport, take the A429, and follow it all the way up to Kenilworth !! Cracking road to ride, although it can get a bit heavy around Moreton-In-Marsh, especially on a market day. You can then work your way back, via Worcestershire, come round via Oxfordshire. There are so many cracking riding routes around the Cotswolds, you'll always be finding new routes !

Up towards Severn springs, take road to cirencester. Over to Stroud, take road through slad back to birdlip and then back on to Charlton kings and home. Couple of good places for a break on way that do good coffee. Do it at 7am on Sunday, it's fantastic.

Ride past Clarkson's house at 7.00am on a Sunday morning with a loud pipe doing a wheelie at 70 in a 30 zone.

fairly nice ride from gloucester to bourton on the water. and/or a veer off to the left toward stow on the wold via swell...

bourton usually has a few bikes hanging around. nice for a posh cream tea. and has the Cotswold Motor Museum as well and if so inclined, a model railway thing.

I used to like the so-called Charlbury TT, on the eastern edge of the Cotswolds. Tight and twisty, with some rollercoaster-like bends that can easily catch out the unwary. Bit further from the OP than I was to it though.

Nice pics and not a bad route and selection of roads. 12+years ago when I had sports bikes, I used to ride from Redditch to Stratford, then through Shipston, Morton and to a nice cafe in Stow. I came home via Cheltenham, Tewkesbury and Worcester, or did the run in reverse sometimes.

Nice change from doing the usual Sunday run to Craven Arms etc.

Hi Steve

Thanks, yeah, I enjoyed the ride out, bike was filthy by the time I got home, so gave it a quick wash, and thought I'd best put some acf-50 on. It was also nice to go on a ride, for the sake of going on a ride, not just to get to work, or do the shopping !! Thumbs Up Very Happy

The road through little Rollrights up to Chipping Norton is quite hilly and sweeping too. And the road from Stow to Cheltenham A429 is quite interesting in parts. Trouble is there's some 50mph sections, and I don't recognise or believe in re-graded 50mph limits.
