I had to use an impact screwdriver to shift mine.

Sure, you can swap them, they're just a bent piece of steel or alloy yes I know steel is an alloy.
However, I'd put PlusGas down those screws, torch them, give them some flat-on whacks, round them off with the impact driver, hammer them flat again, then round them off a 2nd time... then drill the heads off and get grips on the stubs.
Easier replacing a couple of screws (or replace them with bolts) than bars and weights. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

On either end of those bars there are holes facing upwards and maybe downwards (you can see them in the schematic). The bar end weights have clips that slot into those holes to stop them falling out. The screw in the bar end doesn't technically hold them in. If you can peel the clutch side grip back you may be able to push the clip in and slide the bar end out. Then do the same thing on the throttle side. You'll have to slacken the throttle and front brake lever assemblies to slide them off the hole though. ____________________ Current bike: VTR1000F Firestorm.
