Hey guys, need a bit of help wiring my cheap $15 tachometer from eBay on my 1990 Kawasaki GT550.

I wired it up as in the image attached however tach doesn't get any signal - needle doesn't go up. Am I missing here something?

try connecting it to the positive low tension terminal on one of the coils.

The coils have a positive and negative wire connected to them from the loom. Connect the signal wire to the positive wire on the coil, the colour will be on your diagram.
