Bought a lovely Kwacker Z1000, 2014 model in gray and green. Good price and looks beautiful.

Also bought an R&G radiator guard for it.

For some reason, when I put the guard on the bike, I can't get the bolts to bite. This is driving me nuts. The bolts are long enough and I know it's only alignment but I think it's got into my head and I'm looking for a bigger hammer and some six inch nails.

I actually bought a POS Chinese guard first of all and I had the same problem. When I realised how bad that product was I complained and got my money back from E-bay. I then fastened the bolts without a guard and without a problem. Now got the R&G and have the same problem.

Any ideas/suggestions/offers of help? I'm in Somercotes, Derbyshire and tea/coffee/biscuits can be supplied.

Have you tried applying a bolt first to check for length/pitch etc. Can the bolt go through and held in place with a nut on t'other side? Can't really think why it wouldn't fit up proper.
