Not bike related so putting it here.

Have ordered from Travis Perkins before when building the shed and the start of the fence. Since then their prices have gone up and delivery terms have changed so i need to order way more than i need to get it delivered. Dont have a van to go and collect it Sad

Where do you lot buy stuff like fence panels, concrete posts etc etc?

See my first thought would be to enter

'Builders merchants near me' in to your search engine of choice
Then call them and compare prices and equire about delivery

Failing that I would enter "fence panels" into ebay.co.uk then order by nearest first, then look at delivery costs

Of course you could ask a bunch of geographically disparate people on a bike forum where they buy their fencing from without mentioning where abouts you are located.

Fair point.

i have done le google, some need a trade account, which i don't have and some are more expensive than TP.
Stuff i find in Wickes/Homebase seems to be complete shite.

Spose the reason for asking is there may be somewhere that sells this sort of stuff that isnt appearing on le searche engine

My local timber merchants do everything you would need, they do delivery for free over £25. The quality of the wood is night and day compared to the B&Q shite.

So yeah, search for Timber merchants Swindon and see what you get.

I understand what you mean, no help to you - but there is a local "breakers yard?" I dont know what you would call them really.

That regularly gets loads of reclaimed timber in from things like Railway sleepers etc and they are dirt cheap and the wood is good quality. (Nantwich). So places like that do exist.

Cant help with Swindon though Thumbs Up

I use Buildbase for that kind of thing. I get free delivery on anything over £200.

You can get wood/fence panels cheap from Wickes, and I think they deliver. It's all bent and naff though.

But any of the DIY stores supply and deliver that stuff. You get what you pay for though.

Local timber merchant. My nearest one is cheap but doesn't deliver. The one in town is massive and they are very helpful, and will deliver for a fee. Even if not cheaper, I would still use them over the likes of B&Q or Wickes as they know how to store it properly

Local fencing company, i really don't understand people who use b and q, wickes etc for this type of thing, they're too expensive.

Best is to crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their Shereens.

I miss, etc.
