Hello to all the Scots
My wife and I are planning a trip to the Scottish homeland ( We're both Scottish heritage ) and looking to hire a bike. Since I'm a cheap Scot, the rental cost is making me lose sleep. I wondered if I might work a trade with a bike owner in Scotland, loan you my 2003 Vstrom when you come to Embro, Ontario Canada for borrowing your reliable touring bike in May or June of 2018. The Strom is low KM (60,000), and well cared for. We'd have lots of details to work out ie damage deposit. relative days and milage etc. I'd expect for every KM and day I use your bike, I'd give you 2X on my bike. If I had 4 days on your bike to do the NC 500, you'd be able to do a nice tour of the Adinrondacks to the South East of NA. the East Coast or James Bay.
Is there a better place to post this?
Yes Embro was named after Edinborough and we still have a Highland games!

Buy a bike when you get here.

Sell it before you go.

You'd be better off floating something like this on the regional forum of advrider or equivalent
