https://www.bmw-motorrad.co.uk/en/models/adventure/f850gs.html
So BMW have released the long-awaited replacement for the ten-year-old F800GS. New version gets a spec bump to 850cc, all new design, and a pair of crosshairs firmly planted on Honda's offering so blatantly you can hear the Bavarian chortling from here.
Choice facts:
Honda: base model £9500
Engine: 270 degree inline twin
Power: 94hp
Wet weight: 232kg
BMW: base model £9400
Engine: 270 degree inline twin
Power: 95hp
Wet weight: 229kg
Wheel spoke anti-corrosion protection: tbc
No word yet if the F800R or GT will get similar upgrades, i'd imagine so though given the new engine.
There's also a new F750 GS to replace the 700, with an actual CC that still doesn't match the name (replacing the old 800cc F700 with a new 850cc F750 because who knows why)
Anyway I quite like how it looks, don't quite like how I can't pretend my F800 is the latest model anymore so much. Ah well. ____________________ 2007 BMW R1200R: On road

Off-road launch?
I'd wait to see how many road testers get airlifted before parting with any cash. Inb4 recall yo. ____________________ NSR125RR - ZXR750H1 - ZX9R E1 - GSF600S - GSF600SK3 - VFR400-NC30 - SV1000N - ST1100-R - CBR900RR-R - GSF1200SK5 - GSF600SK1 - VFR1200FA - GSXR1000K2 - ZZR1400 D8F

I'm enraged that I still haven't found any faults on mine. OK, the battery is starting to struggle a bit after 5 1/2 years, and the gear position sensor can get briefly muddled if left out in the rain, but that's it.
I wonder what the deal is with swapping the chain and exhaust side-to-side. Just ensuring parts incompatibility? ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
