It's a Hornet 250, I know it's a 4 stroke I stated that. I don't have a dyno to hand oddly enough and I'm not racing the bike, im genuinely trying to learn the intricacies of a 2 stroke seeing as it's the first I've worked on. Why is everyone so bloody critical? By the way I'm an aircraft mechanic so I'm not a retard thanks for that insult Mpd. Have those reeds ordered Alains thank for the help.

Try taking your head out of your arse and listening to the advice given to you by several people with extensive experience of 2 strokes then.

I hope to God none of the planes you fix are 2 stroke or need common sense to maintain. Would you fit the wrong expansion chamber to one of your planes if it was a 2T?

Try being a little less condisending and maybe I'll take your "advice". So for your advice has been telling me why I'm wrong and not giving any solution. There is a difference between crtisism and constructive crtisism

The solution has been given... MORE REVS.

Either lower the gear or slip the clutch.

My 2t RXS 100 won't pull at 2k revs and that is a commuter with 12bhp. The NSR with performance pipe shifts all the power to the top end. Say it is ~30bhp now, that is 240bhp per Litre it is a very highly tuned engine. You can't expect it to have power at the low end.

Infact many bikes will struggle at 2k revs. That's the problem with getting big power out of small engines.
