The Z1000SX has been a surprisingly strong seller, so that could do quite well among insurance execs using it for their annual 2 week escape from their gold digging shrew of a missus pilgrimage to the Nürburgring.

Or those who couldn't afford a Renault 5 turbo back in the days when you had to have something 'turbo' to be cool.

My chum had one, I was well jelly. Same pushroad 1.4 as in the Volvo 340, hilariously. Which I had, of course. Steady away. </Tef>

I said and expected ages ago that the big K were planning a supercharged range of bikes to go into production.

I see a guy most days rain or shine commuting on the of those H2R alien face things, and apart from being well expensive, that bike seems to have gone down well, and shown that they can make a successful supercharged bike work well as a road machine.

I also read that the Base ZX10R engine has been massively de-tuned in the Z1000SX supercharged bike, so that the end result will be ZX10R bhp, but with acres more midrange and peak torque, which is ideal for a bloody fast sports tourer.

Good luck to them, I hope all the interesting new blown bikes sell and do well, as the Japanese really do need to do some interesting and exciting things bike development wise, to get away from the boring me too samey bikes they copy each other so well at.

I think the long low and Aerodynamic ZZR1400 is a very different kind of bike, and it's like the Busa in that not only is it a very rapid two up European blaster, it appeals to the same crowd that spend a fortune on the Suzuki doing mad stuff to them. I reckon more cubes makes it much more tunable too.

The new supercharged bike with hard luggage and a more upright riding position, is IMO more like a Multistrada on steroids.
