Anyone else pissed off with the (failed tv presenter) ginger whinger Evans doing children in need on rad 2?

Although auctioning once in a lifetime opportunities, the git nearly always includes himself, fantastic - freebies.

Not once do you hear of him dipping into his zillions and making a contribution.

Can't stand him or the whole charity gravy train.

If governments don't care about their people, why should the citizens pay up. It just encourages the governments to do less.

I gave to the RNLI when I was a seafarer on the off chance I might need them. I will give to the air ambulance for the same reason. I cannot see me needing clean water in Africa so I won't be giving to them. Selfish cunt me!

Who the hell are these people phoning up and offering 25k to go paintballing with Lionel Blair or whatever?

It's just a "show Chris Evans how much money we've got" game. Pats on the back all round.

another British Buggering Corp con

Quote:
The BBC’s Children in Need is sitting on investments worth £94 million, after benefiting from a record-breaking fundraising drive, according to the charity’s latest annual accounts.

The organisation, which will air its annual appeal tonight, has increased its investment holdings by seven per cent in the past year, according to its 2014 accounts. It has an additional £3.1 million cash in the bank, up 40 per cent on the £2.2 million it held last year.

A Children in Need spokeswoman said that the charity held funds in its investment portfolio, which has grown from £88 million in 2013, because it rolls out awards on a year-by-year basis.

On the other end of the stick, I have a friend who works for social care.

Apparently, some of the money is used for Christmas presents for children who's parents can't afford them or would rather spend their giro on smack.

Cin used to pay the wage of a mate who ran and looked after a playground for kids in a crap area free to use had bmx track skate ramps clubhouse with pool and a canteen was brilliant but stopped funding it when the same kids kept breaking in and trashing the place
They even fed rat poison to the pet goat that was kept in the place and stamped on the guinea pigs and chickens

I don't doubt that some of the money does good
but its something a so called civilized country should not need to do
it should be down to Government or other national agency's that handle this with government funding not charity

start with the £400m we sent to Pakistan last year Thumbs Up

Aye, if "just five pound a month" can give a family clean water for a month, why the fuck do I get charged £40, in a country where it rains all the fucking time.

The Ginger Khunt will always be the great pretender when it comes to filling Lord Tel's shoes, whether it be on R2's breakfast show in general, or during CiN week in particular.

To be fair to him, he does make a massive contribution, but his ego always seems to be front of stage - that's also the way the TV show has gone.

Despite the egocentric presenter's protestations, I think Terry would be spinning in his grave, if he had seen the programme tonight.
