Hello! I have a honda cbr 125R 2005 and i have a serious problem with my carburetor (as all my service guys told me) as if it cannot hold Neutral when it starts (even with 30 decrees outside), and my top speed with 6th gear was max 70kmh. I feel that my bike is struggling and im not that fat! My original carb costs arround 370euros(!) so i cant afford that. I want you to enlight me with some aftermarket carburetors if possible bellow 100 euros.
p.s. sorry for my bad english but its not my native language |

Hello,
Start with the obvious thing. Take the carburetor apart, clean it and then put it back together as it should be. Factory spec jets, adjust the idle speed properly, ... and all that.
How does the filter look? Did you touch the idle speed screw? Is the choke working? How does the spark plug look, its colour? ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ

Thanks for the quick reply! Yes i have cleaned it twice and put the best adjustments possible just to hold it "alive" a couple seconds longer when on Neutral but still its turns off.
The choke is working yes. I've touched a screw to low or high the rpms, i dont know a lot about bikes cause im new driver so i dont know if this is the idle speed screw.
I also have a problem while riding that the rpms go crazy without any reason and i should turn off the bike and let it be for 2-3 mins to start again. |

I have an idea, do you have the service manual to your motorcycle? Google it, find it here.
There find the mixture screw setting and the jet sizes, compare, adjust, tune up. OR pay someone to do that. It's not that complicated once you have the service manual, which will tell you how many turns to put onto the mixture screw and what sizes the jets suppose to be.
Definitely check the spark plug colour, it will tell you if your mixture is too lean or rich. As far as I know you could have mistaken the idle screw for the mixture screw and mess things up.
Unless there is physical damage, you may always tune it back to the factory specs.
