my first service (not bikes first) is due in...1 hour, its the 2500 mile service on a honda CG, and its going to cost about 80 quid, what should I be getting for 80 quid? just wondering what they will be doing with my bike in the 2 hours and a half they have it.

cheers

Did you get a handbook with it? There will be a table in there that tells you what they will do on each service.

I take it that the 2500 is the second service?

If it is, it's nothing major. Usually an oil and filter change and general checks.

Oil filter and plug maybe?

Or else they'll be tearing it about the industrial estate.

They'll change the oil and filter. Will clean the air filter maybe, general check and adjust of everything like brakes and chain. And they'll stamp the service history book.

yeah they did it, brakes feel better, as does clutch, strange thing is though, on the duel carriage way on the way home my top speed was about 7mph quicker, and it didnt feel like it was choking at high revs, what could be the reason for that?

It filters the air of any muck so it doesn't get taken into the carb or cylinder.

^probably more true

I doubt after 2500 miles your port/carb would be partially blocked.
