Doesn't the pin retain a spring loaded trigger?
So if he held it in it would be OK and you could re-insert the pin too.
The suggestion about not throwing it is a tad mischieous, more likely a fumble moment trying to make it safe again.
But we will never know as he won't be putting it on youtube Laughing

They don't just explode while they're sitting around, the spoon has to spring out.

What he probably miscalculated was the strength of the spring, the bendiness of the single-use pin, and his motor skills after a bottle of potato juice.

Jesus, don't envy the coroner on that one. Plenty of zip lock bags and a spoon.

The explosion would not have made as much mess as Google Translate's attempt at translating a story in Russian.
Who know what the truth is?

He said, they did, he said. Rolling Eyes

And coroner would have lots of evidence in a mop-bucket. Smile

A guy who lived near my friend sucked off a 12 bore one day.

Fire crew said, there was hair, teeth and brains splattered all over the bedroom when they got there. Sick
That sort of blow-yersel-up shit is so inconsiderate of the emergency crews who have to deal with it. Mad

If it's anything like the 6-bang I found then not as easy as it seems. Took me a good 5 minutes to re-insert the pin.

Looks easy - not easy at all.
