Hi, a couple of weeks ago the speedo on my Sym Wolf would suddenly go to random numbers, all of them under the speed which I'm actually doing. For example, I'd be riding along at 40 and then for a few seconds it will suddenly slip to 15 and then 0, then 15, 7, 0 then back up to 40 again. It would typically do this once per 1 hour of riding.

I've had the magnet and cable replaced yet the problem is still there. I wonder if it's an electrical problem, but if there was a broken connection then I thought it would either work or not work rather than going crazy every now and then.

It's a 2012 bike and I bought it 6 months ago; this is the first technical issue that I've had with it.

I'll try and give it a good clean when I can, but other than that I guess it's something further up the line.

Thanks for any advice!

I don't smoke, but it's as good a time as any to start!

This sounds like an electronic issue with something in the dash to me. However I would try unplugging all the dash connections cleaning them up and refitting them.

I'll have a try, thanks.
