Down? Web request failed for over a week.

Anyone fixed or recommend alternatives?

Mine still seems to be working. Had to re-install ukturk fairly recently, did you try that?

I heard VPN is the best way to preserve some semblance of control, however I'm a hardcore freetard and refuse to pay whatever I can legally dodge.

But free (of charge) VPN's business model doesn't stack up, unless they're pumping you full of malware infested/snooped targeted ad's.

Tor would be too slow.

I'm wondering if just ditching the router's default DNS would be enough.

Normally it's the stream that's the problem, it's very hit and miss with live sports. Not sure what difference a VPN would make? A friend uses one but that's cos he's scared/paranoid about getting caught Rolling Eyes Laughing

On the subject of Kodi stuff, Exodus seems to have finally died, at least I've not been able to find any sources the last few days. I tried Covenant (I think the replacement) and it was nearly dead (a few crappy sources), so installed Rebirth.

It seems good but it doesn't work with Jarvis, and my phone/tv stick aren't great with Krypton. However lots of HD sources (Exodus seemed to have none towards the end) so I think it's the future: https://seo-michael.co.uk/how-to-install-exodus-for-kodi/

Changed DNS server settings on the firestick, alas my ISP's router has this option crippled.

Success. Coincidence?

Looks like a good time to change ISP to a smaller outfit.
