I did search for a similar thread but search feature is broken.

I was prompted to start this thread because a neighbour is having an extension which required the demolition of her garage
and I wanted to recycle some of the stuff that would have otherwise ended up in the skip.

My little haul from that job

A motorcycle ground anchor.
I spotted this some time ago in her garage when I was working there fitting her bathroom and I dibs-ed it then.
It will eventually go in my garage when it has been built (2018)

Two sheets of the painted corrugated metal the garage roof was made of because a tree surgeon dropped a log (ironically)
right through the plastic roof of my log store smashing a large hole in it. Little job for the spring Thumbs Up

And a wooden side gate that fits nicely in the gap between the polestudio and the fence to keep the dog out of there.

Who doesn't love free stuff? What have you scored lately?

Sorry, a hand grenade shaped thingy.
Yeah where *is* that thread? I was thinking about it a couple of weeks ago.

My last freebie was pretty awesome.
A laptop, a practically-brand-new HP Probook 470 G4 (apparently).
But its got Italian Windows 10 on it, which is vaguely irritating.
I'm mostly surviving with it so far.
Cool

Galaxy s2.

Use it as a green lane sat nav, with GPX routes, on an app called view ranger.

It's the only job it had to do, no sim card, no other apps, does the job.

Garmin Montana would be hundreds

I use this too! With an extended battery Wink

Last free thing was an Auto dimming welding mask.

Ordered from eBay, couple days later the seller deleted their eBay account and tracking didn't work. Never turned up a few weeks later. eBay gave me a refund... Then turned up Embarassed

Not sure whether it counts or not, but mentioning anyway. Smile

Dog pulled over the flat screen in the living room because hes a twat.
Insurance paid out for the TV 2 weeks later
Old one still watchable.

So until I physically replace it, does that mean I have a free TV? (ignoring the obvious rise in insurance premium next year!)

Thumbs Up

Razors. Lots of razors including ones for shaving the disabled.

Today some Science in Sport sample things turned up.

I've got a Scotch Lamb PGI apron, a limited edition Scotch Lamb PGI t-shirt, a recipe leaflet and a car sticker on their way to me.

There's some Sensodyne in the post for me.

A load of marmite arrived last week.

Ordered a bag of Artex filler something-or-other yesterday.

So nothing amazing. Laughing

Without condemning or condoning...
I have no legal knowledge to speak of, but doesn't that just mean you've committed fraud, and got off scot free? Laughing

I got a 32" Samsung for free technically, a relative was upgrading and gave me it.
I feel uncomfortable with people I like giving me stuff tho so insisted on it being an Xmas present, not sure what bullshit psychology makes that better but it does. Thinking

A Lego model of an RS17 Renault F1 car, from work. Nice thing to receive. Limited to 1000 off, so might have a bit of value in it. Actually genuinely chuffed with it.

It wouldn't surprise me at all.
I am already emailed occasionally by the man who wants me to strangle him gently whilst wearing Crocs.
(I kid you not)

I'm still trying to find (years later) the guy who emailed me asking to visit and be an ashtray for two hours, paid me in advance in Amazon vouchers, but never showed up.
