Finally got myself another bike after a bit of on off bike love and health issues. Only a cheap banger for now as it will have to live outside on the drive and I wanted something light and easy to ride.
Spent a few evenings searching the usual places and spotted this 2002 ER5 with 19k on it. It's not a minter but the prev owner had fitted new pair of Bridgestones on her and new c&s fork seals done 6 mts ago and was mot'd Friday.. obviously chains twisted and subframes slack etc but for 750 notes I recon it's ok.
Anyone's here in a previous life ?

Rear drum's been replaced? Probably for the best, a lot of them seem to go eccentric.

Failed MOT in 2015 due to "Rear Locking devices not correctly fitted which may make the motor bicycle dangerous to ride split pin (6.2.1h)"
2bh that looks like blue paint rather than protective film, could just be the pic though.

Also registered as a gold bike... But looks silver? Again, could be the pic lol

Yes drum backing plate has been painted blue 😔 . It is a sort of gold colour in daylight but looks silver in the pics
Also has the widest set of bars I've ever seen along with stumpy levers which give the front brake no feel at all so I'm after some std bars and levers when I've got a bit of cash.
Rogerborg.. I had an early gpz that had the wonky drum issue so it was the first thing I tried.. it's actually very good.. at the mo...

That's a new one on me! Certainly doesn't suit the bike Razz Can of matt black from poundland or an afternoon polishing it then lacquering it?

Some years it did 100 miles between mot' s lo. Im not after a mad road bike just something I can leave outside without worrying about it and jump on to go to work etc I know folks do say there are better machines out there but at the moment it fits what I want. It's certainly a bit different to the Z750 lol
