vtr sidelight stopped working ages ago, finaly got round to looking and its putting out 4-5v... using a battery, a 12v led bulb lights fine at 6v and dim as hell at 4v but in the sidelight housing it doesnt light up...

wiring is all fine as far as i can tell, i use the + connection for my heated grips which i fitted last week and theyre all good, nothing seems to have rubbed away at the wiring

im guessing it probably is a shit wire somewhere, anyone else had the same issue and solved it?

Easy to tell if it's a bad earth. Connect your multimeter black lead directly to the battery, and check the voltage at the bulb. If it's still low then you have a dodgy joint somewhere, it it's normal then start checking your earths.

stopped working long before i fitted the grips and the grips have an independent on/off switch
