I think I may have discovered one of the foods that gives me gip/an exploding bum Shocked
Nutty/wholesome breads?

I’ve cut them out of my diet lately and my belly seams to be a bit calmer Thumbs Up
And there was me thinking those types of bread were supposed to be good for you?
I’ve cut out the fizzy drinks and replaced them with fresh orange juice.

Looks like your just beginning a long journey then! Try and stay off the bread and if you consume Lactose (and still feel a bit rough) then try replacing normal milk with Almond or Rice milk and see if that helps.

Lactose Free Cheese "Lactofree" Is in all major supermarkets failing that Brie, Camonbert or Extra Mature Chedder is low enough in Lactose so as to be effectively Lactose Free. There is also Lactose free soft cheese and most margarines have no lactose in them or you can buy Vitalite, Pure or Clover Diary Free from most supermarkets.

Milk there is no substitute though, Soya milk can instigate bloating and wind so the safe remedies are Almond or Rice Milk.

I used to love Cheese and drink a lot of normal milk until I was diagnosed as Lactose Intolerant as the first step to finding out I was Allergic to Fodmaps - its amazing how you can change your diet when you see the damage it does to you.

Tried vegan eating for a month or so and the best milk alternatives I found were hazelnut milk and coconut milk. They had the most flavour and worked the best as an alternate.

Coconut milk is really only suited for cooking in my opinion.

There are two types. One comes in a tin and one comes in 2ltr carton. They're very different.

Peoples have said stuff about alternatives to milk Folded arms and personally I`ve decided to just cut down on the dairy stuff.
Milk and cheese are just to nom nom nom to give up completely.

I`ve also decided that it`s about time I started reducing the size of my meals and stop being a greedy pig.

If I want to continue to be agile or even mobile, then I need to lose some weight Crying or Very sad
This is the hardest part for me as I REALLY like my food.

No training till Wednesday and another on Friday.

It`s only a small thing but I now always use the stairs rather than the lift when I am at work , every little helps
Smile

I burned an extra 1,600 Kcal on my bicycle this morning.

So, just had a dessert of bananas, custard, cream, meringue nests, with nuts and honey on top

This is the food thread, right? Laughing

Ran 14km last night. Strava is telling me its a 10km pb of 41 minutes! Previous was 47. I have some doubts about the gps probably more like 45 min.
Not easy keeping up with the fast group, that was an easy social run for them!

Yeah, I can just about keep up with fastest group on paper, but in reality, it's a struggle. I keep that pace for the event days.

My leg has finally got to the point where I can run again, so I started again tonight with a steady 3k, much slower than I have run previously.

I'll start trying to build back up again slowly

did a 10k recovery run last night, struggled with energey levels halfway, ate a packet of fruit pastilles, and then ran on

going out on the bicycle again for a 40 miler, trying luggage options

today I'm wearing my Ogio Flight vest, I doubt I'll use it again, but want to see how I get on with a camel hump, before I buy a bicycle one

got a new PB on a timed mile at Bedford athletics track today, ran it in 6m24s

Quite pleased with that, still don't think I'll ever crack a sub 20m 5k though, I'm running between 23 and 25 most park runs.

Then afterwards took part in a 400m runner bean relay race, it's like a normal relay race, but a bag of runner beans cos we didn't have any batons Laughing

I don't seem to be doing too bad then.
With an average of 13.9mph today, I'm a minute and a half quicker than when I started. I must admit to be turning into a bit of a geek but targets and incentives are almost taking priority over fitness.
Recovery times are a lot shorter.

Yeah, but for us amateur athletes, as long as we steer clear of injury, chasing targets and incentives probably makes us fitter anyway.

I'm probably giving away somewhere between 0.5mph to 1mph average with my tyres, WTB All Terrain. But, no reason I can't get faster.

last Saturday I did 5 hours straight on my static exercise bike, well I got off a couple of times briefly to get water, or change channel on the telly

today on my bicycle I did do

Quote:
Distance 63.01mi

Moving Time 4:51:05

Elevation 2,267ft
Avg Speed 13.0mi/h
Max Speed 32.2mi/h
Elapsed Time 4:51:31

I checked a few websites, about tyre pressure and pumped my tyres up to 70psi, seemed to reduce rolling resistance, and I also did try to keep my average speed up

I green laned all day yesterday too, so my legs are felling pretty jellyish now. Must admit weights and cross training are falling behind, must do some core exercises this week.
