I've always rode with a normal rucksack, as people have said it's not a good idea as it can fuck you up in the event of a crash.

Saying that when I came off at speed with a rucksack, the strap just broke off and I was fine. Saying that I didn't have a lot of stuff in there and it was a very cheap bag.

J&S were sellng alpinestar bags for 20quid on sale. i picked one up, decent bag for the money.
Only one colour left though

I bought a Boblbee backpack they are silly money but I got mine SH in great condition for £40. 10 YEARS later it is still very serviceable. I had to replace some elastic but that is about it. It's has a few Crashes and been used it for commuting everyday in those years. Should it die I would seriously condition spending RRP on a new one (about £200 I think)
