His 'trainer' doesn't have the temprament for it. He might be an awesome trials rider, but he has to realise that most of Ross's issue is mental, and doing him down constantly is not going to help.
I can't believe how much of a twunt he's being, and how negative he is about Ross. At the end of the day he needs to deal with the situation he's in, and not worry about why they didn't have enough training time, or that Ross is too fat, or that he's being held back by Mr TV. He's doing a job of work, which is to guide the star through the event. He should realise Ross is not an equal to him in terms of talent. Although he's good, he might not have the same mental strength as someone who does it for years and trains all year round.
This programme is an object lesson on how not to motivate someone with low morale.
I thought Race To Dakar was bad enough, but even Simon Pavey managed to keep a smile on his face, and keep pushing Charley through. ____________________ British beauty: Triumph Street Triple R; Loony stroker: KR1S; Track fun: GSXR750 L1; Commuter Missile: GSX-S1000F

Agree with that for sure. I sat and watched episodes 1&2 last night and ended up feeling quite sorry for Ross by the end.
He's ended up riding a bloody hard event with someone who is acting like a brat and is someone that 99% of us try to avoid riding with when we go out. He's just head bashing him at every moment instead of encouraging him, and Ross was so down in the mouth I really did feel for him.
I'm not sure on the outcome of the event and if Ross finished but I'll keep watching with interest & hope he does |

Well, editing, they're selling a story.
But there was enough sulkyface in there to earn a Tosser Stamp. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
