1.5k is expected. Sorry, my older FI bikes had an adjuster, they don't exist on the newer FI ones apparently.

A quick read, its governed at 1600rpm +/- 50.

Valves probably didn't need adjusting, you just got told they did. I've had like 4 of these from 300 miles to 20000 and zero adjustments. There were no adjustments required in 45,000 miles on my Varadero... so its wasted money, but we did say..

Get it really warm and see whats going on, if the idle is dropping gradually it might be the IACV, it can't be the pump because it runs OK, it can't be valves, it can't be spark plug cos its again....working.

IACV controls idle.. so, I'd have grabbed a quick cheapy 2nd hand one to test rather than valves personally.

Yea that's fair enough - that is what they told me.

Just been back to the garage and the guy threw some water around ignition coil and you can hear that it is making a clicking sound so seems like it could be some kind of fault with that.

Check earth, check battery leads. Had a similar bike cut out due to loose terminals!

Had the ignition coil replaced today and fingers crossed it seems to have sorted the issue but will find out for sure over the next few days.

Yes and the engine was cutting out while idling sometimes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=849zuKa59es

Seems okay now, hasn't cut out since but I can still hear a clicking noise.
