Eeeyyyyyyy

Managed to get both tyres inflated, in the end it took more practice with the starter fluid method, I was lighting the fluid too soon before, leaving it to air out for a bit longer seemed to help and make a bigger explosion.

It only seated on inside of the rim (the part which gradually gets wider), I lit both tyres opposite ways up hoping it would seat the other side.

Either way, once one side was seated I could put some weight on the rim while it was on an old tyre which closed the gap so I could get air in there.

Managed to get both tyres inflated,

Happy Days. Wink
However I've avoided cheap shit tyres ever since I had to buy four when virtually skint in order to get the car MOT'd. They squealed like buggery in the dry (fun in a Starsky & Hutch kind of way, but no grip) and were lethal in the wet (again, no grip). They had the constitution of concrete so they lasted almost forever. Not good. Repent at leisure.
