Even when I was a little kid I liked very old b&w movies, I was fan of Will Hay for example, and remember being very unimpressed when I watched Cannon and Balls remake of Ask a Policeman (Boys in Blue) at a friends house - I was about 10
I think it all started when I was off sick from school, and I used to watch things like Frankenstein versus the Wolfman on telly at night, or on a regular Saturday Morning, Harold Llloyd shorts, and Flash Gordon serial.
In fact, first DVD I ever owned, circa 2000 was Psycho |

I saw the title, and thought of the film with Ray Liotta, completely different thing. And good, but not a classic. Ray Liotta deserves that status for something though, surely? Goodfellas has been mentioned. How about Revolver? A favourite of mine. ____________________ Chickenystripgeezer's Biking Life (Latest update 19/10/18) Belgium, France, Italy, Austria tour 2016 Picos de Europa, Pyrenees and French Alps tour 2017 Scotland Trip 1, now with BONUS FEATURE edit, 5/10/19, on page 2 Scotland Trip 2 Luxembourg, Black Forest, Switzerland, Vosges Trip 2017

Some good ones already mentioned, particularly Ice Cold In Alex. I'll add,Flight of the Phoenix. (The Jimmy Stewart '60's one, not the dreadful 2004 Dennis Quaid remake). The Four Feathers. (The original or the remake.) The Man Who Would Be King. |
