If being mistaken for Pol doesn't wake you up, then it's probably too late for you.

Dibs on OP's bike.

Damn.
You could be right, it could be Tracer.
(I didn't think Tracer was that long-term of a member)

*tuts*
My only ever effort at being nice to Pol - and it's crashed and burned.
Oh well.

We do.

There is a clear divide between the longer term members and the newer members. Newer members treat it like it's just another forum or a reddit page.

Longer term members kind of treat the place almost as an extended family but not quite. As we've managed to meet each other in real life develop real friendships, enemies and some have even formed meaningful relationships. So we know real people behind those names and avatars.

The SE group had G's stalker group.

The North forum had 2.5 years where we met rode with each other went to each others' parties and generally had memorable times with each other.

Although it waxes and wanes members sometimes leave, sometimes they come back. Sometimes they grow out of BCF and life gets in the way... sometimes they pass away... but there is a small core of members who stick around so it's a constant in world of chaos.

Sounds a bit judgemental and superiorism on your part?

I get where your coming from, and also the never showing the outside world any signs of your own weakness, misfortune or misjudgement in life. But some people don't care, some are heart on sleeve types (not always a bad thing), and some people might simply have no-one else they know to tell about their problems or ask for advice on personal issues.

I'd be inclined to humour anyone that did come across as the above, as it's no hardship to listen or offer your opinion or advice to someone else that might be in despair or not know where to turn.

Remember it's very British to not talk about problems or show emotion. But then British isn't still a thing is it? And if it is it's a fringe minority that's often labeled with words that are seen as ugly in society.

Fucking sad world eh!

It's kind of similar to man up that's said to people.

So something is wrong and you should just take it on the chin rather than think hmm something is wrong perhaps something ought to be done to change it rather than tolerating it?

Various long commuting threads for instance man up... why is it a good thing to spend an extra 1000 hours driving unpaid etc.

i was despined a 12 months ago but she was an ex almost 16 months ago, you can keep playing detective it isn't me, my £45 bill from the Indian restaurant today says me and my partner are very happy Thumbs Up

unless you are confusing the 3 years part with when we broke up then no, the 3 years is the time we spent together not the 5 of op
