"reasonable cause to believe that the vehicle or trailer would not be used on a road in Great Britain, or would not be so used until it had been put into a condition in which it might lawfully be so used".

It's not something for which you're likely to be prosecuted, and it's vile legislation that makes Peter responsible for Paul's actions, but it is what it is. Just advertising as "not roadworthy" is insufficient.

And not that Vinny or anyone else cares, but even adding "... so gonnae no ride it away" into the advert or even the bill of sale wouldn't give you a reasonable belief, if Paul rocks up with a fistful of fifties but no van or trailer.
