Hi,
Has anybody tried these tyres?, I want some new ones for spring
https://www.metzeler.com/site/uk/products/tyres-catalogue/Roadtec-01.html
I also looked at PR3/PR4
BT023
I have OEM Dunlops at the moment, but squaring off at 4500 miles and front seems to be wearing at a faster speed than others I have had.
Thanks ____________________ 07 Yamaha YBR125, 07 Honda CG125 , 15 CBR300R (Chocolate Crank, Deaded), 16 CB500FA, 19 Honda Forza 300, 70 Suzuki SV650 |

I have Roadtec Z8s (the predecessors to the 01) fitted to one of my bikes and love them. They're very grippy and inspire confidence from day one. I see no reason that the 01s shouldn't be as good. |

I have them on the MT-10 and they're a fine tyre, not as quick steering as a sports tyre but the beast chewed up and spat out it's Bridgestone S20 in 2.5K miles. So far the Roadtec 01 rear has done 4K and looks good to do the same again with almost no squaring off.
Even when I turn the TC up to full and hammer the throttle like an overexcited ape the traction control light stays off unless I hit a thick patch of salt or other road schmoo.

I've had roadtec on my k1300 for ever. 4th or 6th pair now. I'm not going to change.
I use sportec on the s1000rr. (It had continental from new)
I like them.
I think they are all Pirelli group too. ____________________ Disclaimer: The comments above may be predicted text and not necessarily the opinion of MCN. |
