Oh, and while it seems like makingextra work. Re-check the tan is fuel-tight BEFORE you paint it. Sometimes the paint was the only thing blocking a pinhole. Best to find out first! Or just POR15 it when it's stripped.
I can also recommend taking some steps to protect against the adverse effects of ethanol at the build stage. Particularly fuel lines, gauze filters, fuel tap gaskets and needle valves or you risk running into problems 6 months down the line. A'79 bike was not built to deal with it. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”
I did the 2010 Round Britain Rally on my 350 Bullet. 89 landmarks, 3 months, 9,500 miles. |
