Because he was Titus Andronicus.

I haven't read the entire thread but you didn't mention this in your original post...

Have you spoken to him about this? I assume you've called him out on this and he's reacted badly which is why you then chose to consult strangers on the internet? If not, stop asking strangers on the internet and call him out on it. He might not realise he's being a cunt until you tell him. Had similar with one of the lads I know.

One of my best mates is always skint, but has never asked me for money. I've lent him some in the past to get some guitar equipment or something, because I knew he really wanted it, so I pretty much forced the cash into his hands. He went without food, weed and beer for a week to pay me back.

I think you are well shot of that one.

I mentioned in the original post we didn't have an argument, and my first follow-up explained why I haven't called him out. I think he feels a bit awkward about borrowing money, I bumped into him in the street once, he went to the cashpoint and gave me £20 back, that I couldn't specifically remember lending him (normally he borrows odd amounts) Confused

Oh and Auntie BCF knows best Smile It's good getting other peoples opinions *checks poll*, a relative thought he was taking the piss, as did a friend so it's not just strangers I've consulted.

Skewed poll is skewed, where is the #NTDWI option?

Fair enough, I'd have a chat to him and tell him what you've told us. I'm a firm believer in honesty being the best policy, even if it makes someone squirm a bit. Better to let it out and see how they deal with it than putting up with something knowing it'll never change.
