Would the letter/court be any more effective? For Sure? In the timescale that emailing the CEO has?

More than one way to skin a cat?

Iooi- exactly Laughing

The real question is why have you waited the 20 months to start complaining....
Then mention that you are looking for compo for not being able to use the van last year....

All that should have been raised and sorted before holiday season last year.
As now the company will have grounds to say. You never mentioned/complained last year about not being able to use it.

So on that basis... So long and not a penny will be seen. I would also guess that FOS would back the company on that as well. Due to your failure to raise the issue at the time.

Was it the end of the week yesterday Roger?

Think it was today. And while progress has been made, and I'm a shit load further along with regards to contact (which was also part of my initial (unofficial, not hand delivered) complaint with the company), I am still not quite where I want to be so an official complaint shall be raised, as well a LBA drafted over the weekend. Wink

Iooi - first posted edited to reflect that the incident took place in May 2017 and was passed to the insurers in July....sorry for the confusion.

Mpd - no wheels in the same style have been spotted on ebay/breakers pages. Only same size/similar vintage Thumbs Up

Then I shall look forward to seeing you putting your mouth where your mouth is.

What's your cause of action? You haven't exhausted the pre-judicial arbitration process available to you.

Actually, you haven't even started it yet.

But you shall.

You ought to have hired a caravan when you wanted to go away, passing on the costs to the claim - that might have focussed their minds about getting it sorted a bit quicker.

As for the 3 old wheels, they can keep them. Not your problem. Exhaust their complaints procedure and then go via the financial ombudsman.

Just to wrap this up, claim paid in full last week without official complaints, ombudsmen, burning down of offices etc Very Happy

Emailing CEOs works Thumbs Up

Syl looking back I wish I had done.

I've got all 4 new alloys paid for, old alloys kept and scrap value removed from claim.

Thumbs Up

Too late for a trip to Scarborough now though. And in this weather. Shocked
