Anyone else get a brain twitch and end up throwing things across the room. It happens to me at least 4-5 times a week. I'll be carrying something like my phone and my brain will tell my arm to launch that fucker across the room... it happens so fast I can't stop it and then I have a cracked screen.

Happened just now in work. Just washed my bowl after a nice stew and walking back to my desk with a nice clean bowl, then brain kicks in and "fucking smash".... I throw it at my computer desk and smash it.

Involuntary motor function movements... does my head in.

Hope you've had it checked to make sure it's nothing more serious.

Didn't see it as anything serious to be honest. Just weird brain glitch.

Definitely best to go see a doctor.

On a serious note, have you ever had a really bad knock to the head?
I’m sure my knocks to the head have made me clumsy ?

Yup, quite a few in rugby and snowboarding

Can be the start of a fairly serious condition. However can also be down to various other things.

I get leg twitches every few days, I knee my desk at work really hard... its just accepted now. But part of its down to the accident I had which did damage parts of my brain. I'd suggest getting it checked.

Definitely get that checked out before stinkwheel takes a captive bolt gun to you.

What I wouldn't do is initiate any conversation about whether you should inform the DLVA, since I don't think you'd like the answer.

Gosh, get yourself looked at.

I can kind of empathise with the sudden involuntary desire to throw/smash something but being unable to control the urge is way more serious and risky for yourself and others.

In all likelihood it'll be nothing but you MUST go ASAP to the doctor for a neurological referral.

Definitely get it checked. I have involuntary leg twitches quite often, but nothing like that.

Question - does this only happen when you are carrying something, ie you literally hurl the object away from you? Or is that your arm just kicks off at random?

I think there's a key difference here between your brain deciding 'I'm now going to throw this object', and an involuntary action where your arm muscle contracts involuntarily, with or without something held in your hand.

You could be Dyspraxic, pay a doctor to diagnose you and you'll be on the benefit gravy train Whistle

I watched a programme on brain injuries and it's amazing how the brain can behave like a broken computer. One woman who fell over and smacked her head on the ground whilst shopping, as well as being partially paralyzed kept on repeating "thank you you're so kind" at the end of every sentence Neutral

OP were any of the knocks recent? Either way I'd be getting that checked out ASAP.

I've never had this. I've got a number of weird and wonderful issues, but I've never had a problem with a mismatch between what my brain wants and what my body does.

It's something that should certainly be checked out IMO.

Is one of your issues a pathological urge to list all the conditions that you don't have? Thinking

One of them was to assert that Ohlins was Austrian.

Sadly, there are many people out there that are still alive because my body doesn't always do what my brian desires....

I get the urge to break something now and again. A sudden urge that I have to put down, usually stress related.

Anger is an energy. Razz

So these 'gltches' had them as far back as you can remember?

Happen when under duress?
Happen during or after alcohol or recreational drugs?
After blows to the head?

Do not operate heavy machinery etc.

^^^Your quack should be asking you those.

Best of Red Dragon luck to you Bubbs and maybe it's just a tic similar to Tourettes.
