I bought a medium Arai Chaser online and had it delivered to the missus's parents where she is until next week. She just tried the helmet on and says it's tight.

We both have medium Arais here, so same size head.

Anyway, both our lids say M 57-58. This one says M 57. Maybe explains why it's a bit snug.

But Googled and a medium should be 57-58.

Has anyone got one to verify ?

I'm in Lanzarote, so want it sorting before she comes home

It'll be snug for a few hours and then it'll be about a 58

Should be fine,I took a medium AGV 58? Had 2 and the one used to crush my temples and give me a headache, went and got fitted at an Arai dealer and got a 56 small, after initial breaking in it fitted like a glove and bloody comfy as well.

I had one after loving my original Arai chaser.

My original was size S, so I ordered the same with the chaser V. It was tight to the point that it put a lot of pressure on my forehead, was awful.

I sold it on gumtree in the end, to someone with a pinhead who wanted it for karting.

I now wear a hjc rpha 70 in size medium, I have a hjc fg17 (I think that's it) which is a size small and fits perfectly too.

Don't Arai dealers do a fitting service anymore?

I had exactly the same issue - ordered 2x Mediums (57 to 58) and one arrived which was labelled as a 57 only. It's a slightly smaller shell size I reckon.

No issues with it though. Thumbs Up

I bought a large size ready for last years French ride and it gave me a headache after a few hours of riding.A friend who used to work at the Welling branch of Hein Gericke had suggested that by slightly compressing the expanded polystyrene around the appropriate areas then it would exert less pressure.I did that bit by bit and now it fits snugly like my old Arai did.

I find Arai are a bit smaller than other helmets. I am normally a Small but have to get a Medium with Arai, but it is the best fit and most comfortable of all my helmets.

I emailed the Arai importer and was told it was OK

The missus took it to an Arai stockist in Wycombe who confirmed it was OK.
The cheek pads were 25m so they've ordered us some 20mm instead

The missus returns home with the helmet tmrw Smile

The Chaser's with removable linings do come up a bit on the small size. A normal Arai I wear a large, Chaser I wear an XL.
