following on for last year where hsbc told me my account had been switched over and closed when infact it wasnt and returned direct debits meant charges that had interest added for a while..

the ombudsman went in my favour and told hsbc to close the account like they should have done in the first place and pay me compensation for the 11 hours total call time, 30+ emails and general bullshit...

hsbc denied any letters from ombudsman saying they must pay
hsbc finally agreed the ombudsman said they must pay

hsbc dont pay
call hsbc to be told they closed the complaint which is why they didnt pay me...

hsbc reopen complain and state they will call within 24h to confirm they have transfered it to my bank like requested

6 days later i phone to be told thats not the case and its been raised to another complaint which will take up to 8 weeks...

what do?

ombudsman again or letter before action and court - given that you'd be saying a a court "the ombusman says they have to pay it and HSBC agree they have to pay it but they have not paid it" it should be fairly quick

Bloody foreign banks, that's the problem.

Coming over here, pretending to be helpful when really they are blood sucking leeches.

Actually that's every bank but I'm giving Itchy a chance to pontificate about China, the HongKong and Shanghai Bank Laughing
