Basically a load of OEM supplied Brembo master cylinder have been found to have plastic pistons. If the master cylinder takes a whack, or after hard use the plastic piston can crack and compromise the braking!
It's the radial master cylinder they like to use with the M50 calipers, so a load of high end bikes use this M/C. So far just Aprilia and Ducati (including Panigale Superleggera).

I suppose KTM and MV Agusta are to follow?
No word on the EU market yet? I guess something will come out next week when everyone's back at work. ____________________ My Flickr |

I have one of those radial master cylinders on my R1.As the posted article states,it is not known what will happen to those that are fitted as an aftermarket fixture.
I guess that I will just have to strip it down to have a look see ____________________ Just talk bikes. What else is there?

Well don't count BMW among that pack of thieves/scallywags as they have never designed a braking system with any defects. ____________________ Disclaimer: The comments above may be predicted text and not necessarily the opinion of MCN. |
