I constantly read posts advising people looking for a 400 to go with the Honda RVF 400 but there hard to find and expensive,

This lookes like a good genuine bike to me, i was just wondering why no one had bid on it, let alone bougt it with the buy it now option, am i missing something?

They're expensive and not necessarily any better than a VFR. Hence while a lot of people might like to own one (like me!), they can't or won't buy one (like me!).

You can get a tri-arm CBR400 in decent nick for less than a grand, and have the same fun as on an RVF, plus a load of change for bling and go-faster bits.

oh ok i understand now, so its just a flashier version with a silly price tag, i just thought that with the amount of people going on about them that they were a lot better.

bottom line is, that bike is £2650 and is 7 years old.
I dont know about most but i really cant justify spending that kind of money on a 7 year old bike made to a 10+ year old design.

£2650 could get you a hell of alot of bike!

Exactly, I know I sat on one when looking for my latest bike and at 6ft there was no where to put my legs!

No its not my bike, i assumed it was legit as their feedback was 100% and i know its an old design but i still hear a lot of people advising people who want 400's that the rvf is the one to go for.

It's got white wheels, therefore it's not worth as much as one with black wheels Sick

Group 5 insurance? Those NC23s must be about 2 then since they are ancient.

Its advertised elsewhere too which means it wont go for the price you see now most probably. I bought my RVF off of Fazed from here, i'm 6ft and don't find the position a prob at all, they seem to fit a lot better than the VFR and CBR, probably one of my main choices to go for the RVF. I got a good price on mine and a hell of a lot of bike, i get endless looks and comments about the bike and when i took it too the bike shop for 1 day when i came back the next day my mechanic said he'd had 2 people enquire as to purchase it. They are sexy little machine and a bit of a motorbiking icon, if given the chance i would have and did jump at it but can definitely see peoples reasoning behind the higher prices compared to VFR's and CBR's, just depends how bad you want something i guess, its worth what someones willing to pay Smile Thumbs Up
