I was looking through my old documents when I found this in the bikes folder. It's the original document when the bike was first sold. However out of boredom and looking on the internet I can't seem to find the address or anything similar.

Got some free karma for anyone that is feeling bored and a little like a detective.

Not a wind up no?

This would be the place....

13 Ashline Grove, Ramsey Road, Whittlesea.

Bonus street view.

Maybe, possibly even got the previous owner painting his fence? (long shot i know)

Whittlesey rather than sea. I think that's what threw it.

Wow pretty stoked right now, thank you.

The sea part did throw me to be honest. Not every day you find the original sale brochure from an older vehicle that you own.

That's what I like about low owner vehicles, you can build-up a picture of where the vehicle has been.

Out of interest do you lot normally remove your name/address from paperwork? I've blanked out my name/address/card details in the service history, but I've got loads of paperwork from previous owners that has their details on Confused

The service stamps in my owner books have my name and address on them. It's a curious thing to be concerned about, unless you've registered your vehicle to A. Nonny Mouse at a PO Box, and intend to sell it at the local dogging spot.

I guess, it's just that normally the only paperwork with your name/address on will be the V5c, which will be gone after the person you sold it to sells it on, assuming it doesn't pass through a dealer(?). Maybe it's paranoia but I want absolutely no recourse, or inquisitive inquiries from a former vehicle.

Well, sure, I block the phone number / email of new owners by the time they've reached the end of the street, but its not like new-new owner is going to come after you for the lies that they've been told.

Then don't give the original sales brochure or anything with your details. If you ever sell a vehicle put sold to mr blardebla on such a such date for the whole sum of whatever from today.

The original post was from 1984 i seriously doubt he would know someone would look up on the internet which wasn't even a thing back then 34 years later.

Not naming names, but someone on here contacted the previous owner, regarding a lie the dealer told them.

I wouldn't, I was just curious what BCF did. For my car and bike I have original sales receipts, it's a nice thing to have, it's just plastered with personal details including a finance agreement for the bike.

Well how about this then - here's the Actual Original Owner himself:

https://www.roygerstner.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Reids-Palace-03A.jpg

That's lifted from his own website - he's a 'community activist' so am sure won't mind the extra publicity! Doesn't seem to be into bikes any more though Sad

EDIT:

I like the sophisticated tea party Biker vibe he has going, the man has class.

His wife probably made the sarnies though, if they were made by a BMW owner he would have recalled half of the components of the sandwich.

Now the plaque makes sense considering his job history. Yikes didn't think I'd found out all this. Glad bcf is here.

Why not put his number into your phone and see if he's on whatsapp, then send him some pics of his old bike. Thumbs Up
I bet he'd be delighted to see it still running. Better still, roadtrip. He looks quite a character and I bet he has some tales to tell.

That's true, if my old 125 from donkeys years ago was still around, I'd buy it back and restore it.

Id have my old cb back as well C473 ORP. However there is no way of tracking down the owner anymore.
