Have I turned it off somehow?

My spelling is rather poor so need it back. - Help please. Laughing

If it's chrome, in the top right open settings-advanced-spellcheck

Firefox 58.0 on Linux:

Preferences: Language:

Choose your preferred language.

tick "Check your spelling as you type"


Other versions may have slightly different configuration options...

It's worth checking out the "Choose" language thing above that, it's theoretically possible you removed the english dictionary by accident.

It's practically probably that it's just monged up. One of my Firefox instances is the same. I've added and removed and re-added en-gb, unchecked and rechecked the check spelling check box, it's still having none of it.

My firefox seems to be stuck on American spelling and has been for years.... doesn't matter how many times I try changing it to UK English
