Recommend me a tool for cutting brake and gear cable inners and outers please.

I use a Dremel. Nice clean cut, no crush and I have one. When cutting inners you need to tape it before cutting so it doesn’t unwind into a mop head.

Do not buy those crappy £3 cable cutters from eBay, Amazon or anywhere. You might as well use a butter knife. They're blunt as anything and the bolt falls off under the pressure.

£25 but will last forever assuming you look after it slightly, mine is only 14 years old but will keep going for ages yet.

I use bolt croppers on outers then grind the end down and dress the steel with a needle file (if it's unlined).

I use tin-snips for the inner having first taped or tinned it.
