From what I hear, it isn't gay if you're in a different country...

No-one cares if you like it up the gary glitter. I was merely making conjecture on why you were so angry and spending so much time on here instead of getting a working product to people that have paid you money.

I'm sure Adam would appreciate being reminded that his comments towards TheMadRatter would be of interest to the police under offences under the Equality Act 2010. Sitting nicely with his offences under the Communications Act. Thumbs Up

Goal reflects what is needed to progress to injection moulding. Thumbs Up

No point going in with a low goal and getting peoples monies and then not being able to deliver due to not enough money. Smile

Dont want to be considered a scam do I? Smile

Oh, right, I unfollowed on Failbook because of the Aaronsian levels of pointless jabbering. Right, let's see...

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1569419092/bikejet-fit-and-forget-visor-cleaning-while-on-the

Dinged right off the bat for abuse of "exponentially". Tut Tut

£10K in 30 days, or it doesn't happen? Then I don't see it happening. Why on earth do it as all-or-nothing?

At least buy a smattering of your own pledges to get it started. I thought that was Kickscammer 101.

Grants from local council
Funding circle
Dragons den (Or Peter Jones's sponsorship spin off scheme)
Or lastly but not preferred - business bank loan.

As per Ste's question, its not my only source of income for it, and there is no rush. If it hits then great - if it doesnt then Ill have more information to work with for the next steps in the business plan.

I am not aware of this "Kickscammer 101". I wish I had a copy. Sad

It might stand a chance of raising £10k if MCN were to do their review.

Nobody is going to go for the £2,500 option.

If 50 people back your crowdfunding and so falls short of the £10k, would you expect those people to sign up for the 2nd attempt at crowdfunding?

Approach all the publications / companies / websites that Adam lists on the rainpal website?

You've got one shot at free publicity from bike magazines and websites which would all be wasted if the crowdfunding target is unrealistic. Confused

/\ this. Might be worth saying on the campaign what you plan to do if you don't reach the goal, and why the target is relatively high. Just gets rid of two more 'doubts' from the target market.

Can I make a suggestion? Stop talking about Bikejet in a topic with scam in its title (that goes for the rainpal one as well).

That means the people who back your crowdfunding will get the 'cheapo' 3D printed version and anyone who holds fire will be able to buy the higher quality plastic injected version.

Dunno, it just doesn't seem quite right. Confused

Could it be done so that if the £10k target isn't reached then backers will get the 3D printed version and if it is reached then backers will get the plastic injected version?

That way people who back it will get bikejet and it will be launched. If the £10k target isn't reached then bikejet will still have been launched and it'll just require a little bit of thinking to figure out how to afford the plastic injected version.

I can just see people seeing the 10k target, thinking that's unrealistic and never going to happen so they just close the browser tab and forget all about bikejet.

3d printed is v1.0, plastic injected will v2.0 plus you'd also get feedback on the 3D printed version prior to making the step up the having it made by plastic injection.

It's kind of a little bit like Adam having grand plans for rainpal with cameras attached before he's got the very basic version working.
