Isn't there already an app or something that automatically sends out a 'help' message if you don't move in a while? I'm sure I read it somewhere.
Found it -

How does it know you've crashed?
How do you prevent false alarms (bike gets reversed over by a wagon while parked, falls over in the back of the van)?
I presume it is self-powered and entirely autonamous from the bikes systems or at a minimum places no drain on the bikes battery when it's off? If it uses the bikes electrics to charge, how well does it play with canbus?
Is this mobile or satellite based? There are areas of the country which still have zero mobile coverage. Often the exact areas where a motorcycle crash would be likely to go unobserved.
How does it know where you are? Does it have built-in GPS or are you relying on mobile phone type positioning for which there is even poorer coverage?
Also how does it let the emergency services know? I've seen several emergency call systems but they all rely on contacting a third party in the first instance who then dispatch the emergency services on your behalf.
Which neatly brings us to. Standing charge. What we looking at? If it's SIM based, it'll need to ping the service every so often to keep the number "alive" and that SIM will need topping up periodically. If there is a third party call centre, what are they charging? Wont be cheap.
I know a SPOT device costs a MINIMUM of £30 a year on top of the purchase price. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”

One of those lanyard type kill switches that seemed to be used in racing would be handy. ____________________ Mpd72: I can categorically say i’m Brighter than that, no matter how I come across on here.

Our device is equipped with sensors to detect any crash
Quote: | How do you prevent false alarms (bike gets reversed over by a wagon while parked, falls over in the back of the van)? |
When you turn on your motorcycle, the device turns on too and when you turn it off, the device will continue working for 5 min. If you crash and you're okay you can cancel the emergency call. And if you need help you just have to press the main button and we will send you rescue teams.
Quote: | I presume it is self-powered and entirely autonamous from the bikes systems or at a minimum places no drain on the bikes battery when it's off? If it uses the bikes electrics to charge, how well does it play with canbus? |
You have to plug the device to your motorcycle battery / low-beam lighting circuit.
Quote: | Is this mobile or satellite based? There are areas of the country which still have zero mobile coverage. Often the exact areas where a motorcycle crash would be likely to go unobserved. |
We use mobile coverage for a few reasons: first we use all network providers available to get the best connection, you have to know too that if you're in a no mobile area and try to contact 911 / 112 your mobile phone will try to reach this number using other network providers. If we were using satellite coverage the monthly fee would be much more expensive and the device would be much bigger too. We wanted something discreet on the handlebar, not an ugly brick.
Quote: | How does it know where you are? Does it have built-in GPS or are you relying on mobile phone type positioning for which there is even poorer coverage? |
Everything is built-in, so you don't have to link it to your phone or anything else, and our device is optimized to get a better connection than smartphone.
Quote: | Also how does it let the emergency services know? I've seen several emergency call systems but they all rely on contacting a third party in the first instance who then dispatch the emergency services on your behalf. |
When there is a crash, we get notified and we call back the device to know what happened, to get more info, who is involved / injured... And then we contact the emergency services.

For the US there will be a yearly fee of $30, that's all. You won't have to take care of the sim, or the call center, we will take care of it.

Services like this one are more expensive than £30 per year, they are usually between $12-$18 per month... |

[Lists features that are the same as dguard] |
We've already provided a link. Didn't you see it? Were you too lazy to read it? Or are you pretending that it doesn't exist? Here it is again:
https://www.dguard.com/en/dguard-your-life-your-bike
Now: what distinguishes your imaginary device from dguard®, a device that already exists?
Is it that your device won't work as a tracker to help recover stolen bikes? Wow, such feature, very value.
You've clearly not done a jot of market research, and I noticed how you switched from talking in the singular and future tense to the plural and present tense. That's an Aaronsian® trick which makes you look like a deluded gobshite who will never deliver a single thing beyond broken promises and salty ego-rants.
I hope this free and frank sharing of views has been helpful to you. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
