Lucky, could have been much worse with you and the bike sliding down the road.

This is happening much more these days, sleeping policemen everywhere and couldn't care less morons driving cars, thinner springs and corrosion provoked spring failures, still, keeps garages busy I suppose, 2 new springs on that axle etc.. :karma:

Has it not deflated?
Wheel looks weakened though so might need replacing ideally.

Yeah, for sure! Hoping it's not going to be too expensive Praying

It has deflated - it just doesn't look like it in the photos. The wheel itself looks punctured so it'll need to be replaced.

On the plus side, no work today Dance!

This is why I have this strange obsession with picking up anything that looks sharp and/or metallic in the road. My GF thinks I'm crazy, pulling up to an empty roundabout to pick up a piece of ratchet strap or something, but if it saves one person a puncture I've done a good thing IMO.

I've had five punctures in my life, one on the bike and four in the car, and if other people were as careful I'd have avoided all of them.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Yes. I still break out in a cold sweat when I see discarded footwear in the road.

Emo bike with piercings, fashion is not cheap.
As others say, ebay, scumtree, breakers.

TIG welding looks possible as a repair to the rim (not the tyre though). Wink

It'll just be cheaper and easier to go through insurance I think. It means taking public transport with the great unwashed for a little while though Sick

Are you sure? It'll probably increase your premiums for 5 years.

I'd get onto whatever owners forum it is and ask for help hunting a wheel. Also check on ebay.

Yep, agree with that. £800 is not enough to bring insurance in.

Last rear wheel I bought for a bike cost £30. It had a half decent tyre on it too.

In USA, nearly every kawasaki is a ninja! I can't use it without cringing. Also the green colour adds to it.
