It's CPT, for Cycling Proficiency Test.

Seems like all the rage to add initials after your login to try to look more intelligent than you are. Wink

Because that's the best qualification you have?

So what we're saying is the UK government can organize a conspiracy to assassinate some Russian defectors and two of its own citizens, in a public place, using a cold war era nerve agent then mount a massive, multi-agency security operation around it in order to strengthen their international position against Russia... AND KEEP IT SECRET.

Yet they issue an internal document about brexit planning and within hours, full details, including images of the document and the operation codename are in a national newspaper.

That's what we're saying?

UK government masterminds:

Karen Bradley the NI secretary doesn't have any idea what is it.

Liam Fox trade secretary may have read "The EU in a nutshell"

Boris Johnson is the only Foreign secretary that UK government has oficially confrimed he is NOT a clown! I repeat NOT a clown!

Chris Grayling transport Secretary admits he's not "a specialist in rail matters".

Home Office under Sajid Javid is still deporting British to countries they have never seen.

Also fuck me Andrea Leadsom is a cabinet minister?!?

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2018/sep/07/karen-bradley-northern-ireland-secretary-tories

According to bnp72 these canny masterminds are behind the biggest UK conspiracy ever just to smear Putler upstanding russian citizen name, who not invloved in mass murders and the first annexation in Europe after Hitler.

Don't feel too distraught, Donk had to go to night school to learn to use a computer, and now look at him, pretending he's some sort of IT expert.

Not necessarily the UK government. There are many people outside of the UK government who would benefit from turning Russia into an enemy of the UK and EU. The EU have been demonising Russia to justify their own military force for years.

I don't know who's behind or in on it, but the whole thing stinks of a pro EU propaganda stunt. Create a common enemy and keep the EU together for security, to stand together against big bad Russia.

I suppose it depends if you think the establishment with a vested interest in the EU would stage an attack like this to demonise Russia, just like what's been happening in Syria and the Malaysia Airlines passenger plane shot down. All blamed on Russia with very little proof.

My issue here was the speed with which the UK government blamed Russia with almost certainty, 6 months before they even came out with a couple of dodgy passport photographs and made up names of alleged attackers. It's quite clear they wanted to blame Russia from the start, even with no proof.

Ok you don’t know what the answer is, but you’re certain it’s not the obvious one.

But that’s where the Skripal guy’s house is. Where else would “it happen?”

Google Maps says seven miles.

It was done in the run up to the Russian elections, what better message to send to friends and enemies alike.

We'll probably never get to find out what brought skripal back to Russia's attention, but i'd read somewhere asked if he could return home.

I would hazzard a guess the security services have some idea, hence why the blame was quickly laid at Russia's feet.

We've been over this before, when it happened. As I've said, if they caught the guys tomorrow with novichok and executive order from putin himself you would claim it was staged.

It just doesn’t make sense. If Putin wanted him dead, he’d be dead and done quietly. It serves no political purpose for Russia to do it in such a way that very publicly lays the blame on them.

It “doesn’t make sense” because the assassins were inept and acting on orders of an arrogant, self-serving regime.

Do you also doubt that Litvenenko was killed by Russians? That happened many miles from the nearest Po-210 factory.

Mr. Skripal’s continued visits to Spain were confirmed by a current senior official, who would not provide additional details. But former officials said that Mr. Skripal would have been especially useful in crackdowns on Russian organized crime.

Sounds a bit like he was still quite active in spain, not just some ex-spy retired to the english countryside with his daughter.

No its more plausible that this was some isis plot executed by a time travelling jihadi to destabilise brexit, than russia trying to bump off some pain in the ass.

I like the way that the couple of guys selected as scapegoats had near consecutive passport serial numbers, differing only by the last digit - one ending with 4, the other with 7.

It doesn't prove or disprove anything but it's noteable. In the same that it's noteable how the novichok poisoning happened just a few miles down the road from Porton Down.

BBC article on this went like this.

First two paragraphs:
Russian Spies found
What they did

Most of the article:
... but if they ever came into the EU {highly unlikely}
EU arrest warrants
Wow, the EU!
The EU gives you powaaaaa
Don't you, working class chicken factory worker and football supporter want mighty powerful England?
Need to vote for second referendum, vote remain!
Wow, the EU! European Arrest Warrant! WOW SUCH COOL
... oh yeah russian spies found whatever. Remember, vote remain.

So yeah I don't really watch the news anymore Laughing

Yeah, because nothing says “Russia is great” on the world stage, just before they host the fecking World Cup, than badly attempting assassinating someone on U.K. soil does it?

FFS..... think about the timing again. You may not be into football, but it was the biggest advert for Russia on the worldwide stage in decades.

This was timed to ruin it.

it wasn't about saying Russia is great, or overt pro russia sentiment, it was a covert message.

showing friends and enemies alike that no matter where you are, who you side with if you betray me there will be consequences
