No, we all read The Guardian and weave yogurt now.

By your witty repost, do I take it that the label still means what it did when I used to go to football? That is all I am asking.

You don't have to be born into being a Champagne Socialist. You even admitted to being one, with your Liberal middle aged posh dinner party report from the other night, so I'm not sure what point you're making.

'Liberal' or 'Champagne-Socialist'? There is a bit of a difference....

Nothing wrong with being able to communicate with lots of different groups of people...

Depends whether the after-dinner entertainment is Scrabble, Folk Music Karaoke or a lynching.

Mdma - a question for you. Given that you go to matches regularly, does wearing Stone Island still mean what it used to?

I had to look this up on Wikipedia.

I found:
"Canadian rapper Drake (musician) is also regularly seen wearing Stone Island"

Must be OK then Thumbs Up

If he's black, Donk will want to purge himself of his SI collection ASAP, for fear of being associated with a black rapper. Rolling Eyes

An interesting example of horseshoe politics, where far left and far right are more alike than they care to admit.

I agree too.

I don't agree with Mdma's Nazi idea however, as the Nazis were all about the master-race, racial purity and getting rid of people that didn't fit the 'norm'. This is still the preserve of the far Right rather than the far Left, which for all its faults doesn't advocate racial purity.

Just watch footage of any demonstration containing far Left and Right and see which bunch chant nationalist slogans...

Seen this?

https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/world/facebook-and-instagram-finally-ban-white-nationalism-posts/ar-BBVjBc0?ocid=spartanntp

I think FB is playing a dangerous game describing the ban as applying to 'white nationalism' without clarifying that it should also apply to 'nationalism' on the part of non-whites, including those wanting the Caliphate. By restricting the description of banned posts to 'white nationalism' it plays into the hands of those on the Right who claim that their views are being silenced as part of a world MSM conspiracy against them.

Also, and at the risk of sounding like Mdma, the definition of 'nationalism' needs to be clarified as in theory it could extend to displaying your national flag, or even singing a national anthem where it contains verses that imply superiority over another country - think ours over the Scots, Germany 'uber alles' etc.

Perhaps what the people behind FB really want is more kittens falling off sofas with subtle product placement in the background, more local pages complaining about dogshit etc and nothing else.

I predict a move away from Facebook by anybody with a brain or an opinion.

The hard left really are using social media as a weapon now. Look at the pyramid spreading of this "Snowflake petition", where every signer is given instructions to force 3 others to sign it. It's pyramid propaganda and one reason why the gobby minority is appearing larger than it is.

Are you honest enough to admit that the Right do this sort of thing as well? How many YL videos for example have him or his supporters in comments saying 'share the hell out of this' or similar? Doesn't this have the same effect?

Being a Libtard Snowflake Commie Tree-Hugging Faggot Apologist Antifa MSM Left Wing Nazi, I have been sent requests to sign this petition. I don't recall anybody trying to force me to do so though. I think you made that bit up for effect....

The most popular right wing figures have been banned from Facebook due to complaints from the gobby hard left.

Didn't stop them trying to encourage others to spread the work before the ban, nor does it stop them from doing it on YouTube, or exchanging videos via the hub that is YL's website.

Whichever way you look at it both the Right and the Left use social media to propagate their views, and bigots will always argue that the opposition are employing dirty tactics whilst not admitting that their own lot do exactly the same.

Agreed. They've decided to enforce their own biased controlled speech rules. I haven't used facebook in years and have no interest in using it again, however I think it's sad that they are actively ensuring that it is not an open platform.
Now, if they were to ban all race related posting (including say, black lives matter) and insist that users refer to people on their individual merits and not use divisive identity politics, then they might have a morally defensible position. Effectively enforcing it would be laughably impossible, but it's not like they aren't going to use this new rule to ban anyone they have a slight dislike of.

If you don't like it, or disagree with their modus operandi, you're welcome not to use it. A bit like joining a club where you don't agree with the rules, really.

I am in two minds about this. As long as he isn't inciting hate and violence he should have as much right to be heard as anybody else on all internet platforms including YouTube.

I think the problem is the comments his videos receive, which tend to range from the 'We love you, Tommy' type to genuine Islamaphobia.

Should he be held to blame for the comments of his supporters? Depends whether you think his videos are deliberately intended to elicit that sort of reaction. I'm sure YL himself will argue not, but his videos have that effect on some people nonetheless...
