It’s comical that Facebook have banned Tommy Robinson, the BNP, English Defence League and anyone else deemed far right, yet extremists like the Muslim Defence League are allowed to pedal their hate and violence on the platform. I wasn’t expecting it to still have a Facebook page when I did a search, but can’t say i’m Surprised that Facebook doesn’t think their form of promoting violence goes against their community standards.

Have a look at the comments under the post about today on the Muslim Defence Leagues Facebook page. Some lovely photos of them beating people up 8 against 1. Disgusting that the police encourage them and Facebook let them operate on their platform, yet ban anyone deemed anti Islam.

If I stop to think about it, I can honestly say I'm not sure what they think they're going to acheive by continuing this.

The Muslim Defence League taking a few hundred scumbags, with police escort, to throw bottles and bricks at a crowd of locals, including women and children, who were only there to hear a political candidate for the upcoming election, was disgusting and will have worked wonders in turning the locals against Islam.

You've now got the antifa lot trying to pretend it was a far right group throwing bottles at Robinson and the crowd of supporters, even though Youtube is full of videos of Muslims marching towards the crowd then attacking them with bricks and bottles. The MDL Facebook pages had plenty of videos of them not only hurling bottles and bricks at the crowd, but also attacking in gangs, singling out white males and beating them up. These have been taken down from the page, but not before others shared them to Youtube. There are plenty still there if you look. Search for Oldham Robinson MDL.

The police will do nothing though, for fear of upsetting the Allah Cart and Facebook seemingly wholey approve of the MDL cos diversity innit. They've ignored the many complaints to get the obvious race hate page taken down, but have banned anyone deemed to criticise extreme Islam. This country is f*cked up.

This is exactly what the more extreme elements of British society want - ordinary people attacking each other. I watched a few of the YouTube videos last night and what I saw was a group of YL supporters plus a group of Muslim men, with plod in between trying to keep them apart. Insults were coming from both sides, both sides were throwing things at each other and both sides were clearly over-excited and wanting a fight. If the plod hadn't kept them apart it could have turned really nasty.

All this does is polarise opinion, which is what the respective leaders want to happen because it gives them legitimacy and a reason to have a wank. I felt sorry for the poor people who live around there and who live wherever the next 'event' takes place. If it happened on my street and a bunch of charmers from any side started throwing things, damaging my car and running through my garden, I'd feel morally justified in getting the chainsaw out and suggesting they leave...

Look again and you'll see two coppers walking in front of the group, using their radios. They did what they are trained to do - report what is happening, keep the group together as much as possible then block and confine it when enough resources are available. Note that the group was stopped some distance from where YL's crowd were gathered initially, and that YL's lot chose to come to meet it, thus requiring the plod to form another line, to maintain a distance.

Two ways of describing the same situation - you choose the one that supports your Islamist conspiracy view and I choose the one that reflects the reality of keeping opposing but initially law-abiding groups apart. Both were out looking for a fight and plod knew that, but neither group could be removed until offences were actually commited.

What you are trying to do is persuade people that the police actively assisted the Muslim group because they were of Pakistani origin and because YL is right wing. This is absolute billy-bollocks, and I'm sure deep down you know that. From your years as a football supporter you must have come across similar crowd control tactics, surely?

Two ways of looking at it. One coloured by years of right-wing conspiracy theorising and one by a basic (but taught) knowledge of crowd control techniques.

Ultimately the objective of plod is to make sure the 'event' passes with as few injuries and as little damage to property as possible. If this means not arresting people throwing missiles there and then, that is how it is. This decision is taken by the commander on the ground and is dictated by the level, training and equipment of available resources. It isn't politically or racially motivated, despite what you'd like to believe.

If you actually look at the videos, you will see that the vast majority of plod were at the Muslim end of the 'event', thus preventing that group from getting closer. In comparison there were relatively few at the YL side to hold them back. This demonstrates where plod thought the greater threat was coming from and poos on your idea that plod actively encouraged the confrontation.

The evidence is there, clear for all not too blind to see.
There is no way the police would have acted the same had the tables been reversed and it was a 300 strong EDL planned attack on a Muslim candidate rally.

I don't understand why you think that my view is 'Muslim apologist'. I haven't argued that the police should treat the MDL any differently than the EDL, or indeed any group openly out for violent confrontation. Where is the 'get out of criticism fee card' in what I've said?

What I have said is that the police determine how to manage crowds depending upon available resources and perceived threat. In this instance the greater threat was perceived to be coming from the MDL, which is why most of the plod were down that end of the 'event'. The MDL were stopped short of YL's lot, and YL's lot chose to come towards them, thus making it harder for the police to keep control because it meant some officers had to hold back that lot as well. What precisely do these operational decisions have to do with race or religion?

If some idiots chooses to film bits of it, the individuals filmed carrying out assaults should expect a knock on the door. This goes for both sides.
